A Root of All Evils (work-in-progress) — In a small, hilly Virginia town, Carlton Blue, a conflicted cop-turned-car salesman, encounters S.O.L.D., a demon’s trafficking organization. Since demons like to hide in the shadows, Carlton is unaware this demon wants him dead. A past secret challenges Carlton’s relationship with God, and also hinders him in helping an unrecognized childhood friend escape S.O.L.D. The organization entraps him as he and his friends attempt to expose it. When S.O.L.D. deems Carlton rogue, he flees town as their fixer, Mr. Jones, masterminds his capture. When Carlton finally faces S.O.L.D.’s possessed leader, the boss orders his inescapable death. But more is revealed that fateful night than expected.
